About Joe Goldberger
Joe Goldberger is a Los Angeles-based drummer, percussionist, keyboardist, composer, and educator with a diverse background spanning performance, film scoring, and arts education.
As a performer, Joe's affiliations include Annie Haslam's Renaissance, with appearances alongside legendary groups such as the Moody Blues and Procol Harum. He has also collaborated with acclaimed producers Larry Fast and Tony Visconti, and performed with renowned musicians including David Sancious, Patrick Moraz of YES, Jon Carroll of Starland Vocal Band, and Mark Lambert. His international touring experience includes performances throughout Brazil and Japan.
Since 2006, Joe has conducted arts-in-education workshops for Theatre of Hearts / Youth First, working with schools and learning centers throughout the greater Los Angeles area. In 2013, he joined the teaching artist staff of Aimee Arts Productions, continuing to lead music and percussion workshops across Southern California.
As a composer, Joe has scored music for numerous award-winning independent films and television projects. His credits include Stone Mansion on PBS, Sunday Morning Stripper, winner of Showtime’s Showcase Award, The Great Commission on Showtime, Pants in the Family on Showtime, and Lovers Discretion for Silverlight Productions.
In 2025, Joe composed the score for Rock Island Prison 1864, winner of Best Drama at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. He also composed the music for Lucky Gideon, the story of a courageous horse and his wartime journey during the American Civil War.
Most recently, Joe completed the score for the feature film One Day in Sedona, scheduled for release in 2026. He is currently scoring the animated mystery comedy Who Killed Detective O'Leary?, whose screenplay has already received multiple Best Script awards. Upcoming projects include the comedy Bomb Ass Bosses from director Shanice Williams.
Joe continues to compose, perform, and teach throughout the Los Angeles area.
